This exhibition catalogue presents the history of the TUP factory (Carbon Graphite Products Factory), one of the key industrial enterprises in Dubrovnik and the wider region during the second half of the 20th century. Through archival materials, photographs, and expert texts, it traces the development of the factory from its establishment in 1953, highlighting its expansion, technological progress, and important role in the electrical industry of former Yugoslavia.
The publication also explores the social dimension of industrial life, including workers’ everyday experiences, self-management practices, and the rich cultural and social activities that developed within the factory. Particular attention is given to the production of graphite components essential to a wide range of industrial applications and export markets.
